How did The Planet Tour come to be?
In 2007, Daryl returned to the sport of motorcycles after many years absence. Renewing his love for riding in 2008 he started booking comedy tours in the summer months so he could travel by motorbike, thus combining three things he loved: comedy, motorcycles and travel. On April 26, 2008 all of this came to stop when a hit and run driver ran Daryl off his motorcycle. With broken bones, unable to travel plus several shows having to be canceled everything he enjoyed was taken away.
Rather than let it get him down Daryl decided to start a tour with a safety message: “Share the road and wear your gear”.
In June of 2009 Daryl did an extended trip by motorcycle from Calgary up to Whistler area of BC then followed the coast all the way to Tijuana Mexico and return. The trip spanned 27 days (20 of which were camping) 10,000km all done by motorcycle. The whole time Daryl felt right at home, living off his bike and on the road.

The Planet Tour is a "next generation" video production and distribution company. Its programming allows viewers to live vicariously through the everyday experiences at the host's most compellingly human moments. Day in, and Day out, all the trials and tribulations of being on the road, as Daryl lives off his bike and shares the adventure with you! You don't have to be a rider to enjoy his humorous and informative take on life on the road.
As "next generation" Actuality video production meets the exploding demand among increasingly competitive traditional and "new" media channels seeking uniquely compelling, hard-to-access motorcycle and travel-focused content. By using both new (Internet, wireless) and traditional (television, radio) media, The Planet Tour is changing the way celebrities communicate with their fans. Providing access without intrusion, while allowing viewers to live vicariously through the everyday experiences of their favorite rider as he tours the planet, on his adventure.
